I think that it's Robert Louis Stevenson who said: "It is better to travel hopefully than arrive at one's destination." I agree with that. I think I am fundamentally hopeful and when I paint or take photos or listen to someone talking to me, it's because I always hope that something will happen. That's it, "to travel hopefully."

Viggo WorksでDestinationを検索すると、一度ならず数回、いろんな場でヴィゴはこの言葉を引用しているのがわかる。ある時は親しいジャーナリストに「ちょっとはゆっくりしたら。目的地に急がないで旅を楽しんだら」というように言ったり、「ロード・オブ・ザ・リングのように旅の途中で学んだことは目的地につくことより重要なことだ」と言ったり・・・。

なんにせよ、同じことをしつこく言い続けている人ではありますが(^^;

9連勝を考えていたらこの言葉を思い出した。
